The Cut Rooftop Bar, a lounge/terrace on top of the IAPM mall, has a breathtaking view of the surrounding skyscrapers and Xiangyang Park. This famous rooftop bar located in the center of Shanghai renovated its space in 2017.

The owners of the group VOL – Backers of famous restaurants Mr. & Mrs. Bund and Ultraviolet – called on the talents of architects Ellen d’Anterroches and Margaux Lhermitte of the design firm NE-ON, to give the place an original and feminine touch. We worked closely with the interior designers to integrate a perfect acoustic design and control the reverberation time in the various areas of the Bar.

The acoustic design was given special attention in order to serve top DJs seeking excellent sound quality.

Each space (lounge seating, dance floor, VIP & alcove) has an optimized reverberation time, fit for its use.

The other aspect of our mission consisted in controlling noise to make sure the project would not impact neighboring areas.
